Front-End Key Data Validation

Any OBDC Compliant Database can be accessed at the front end of the process to "validate" a key field of data. The data can be read off of a control document via OCR or barcode. The validation key could also come from a portion of the filename for the file to be processed.

Any ODBC Compliant Database Can Be Used on the Front-End of the Process to Validate the Index Data for the Scanned Documents or Capture Files - MS SQL Server, Oracle, IBM DB2 or any OBDC compliant database.
Zoned Areas of Data on the Page Can be Captured by either OCR or Barcode or both

Remember this "can" be part of a workflow It does not have to be Workflows have several elements that can be used according to the particular demands of what is needed to process the documents.

documentINDEXER+ resides on a robust PC watching the scanned document folder waiting to process scanned images or a host of 134 other Window file formats

Using documentINDEXER+ workflow designer, part of a workflow design can incorporate an OCR process to read data from an OCR zone area or read a barcode zone in order to use the data as a “key” field. This key field can then be exact matched to a field in a table of any ODBC compliant database. Once matched, if designed as part of the workflow, then 5, 10, 20, 40, etc related fields to that one key field can be "pulled" from the database and associated with single or multipage document. Any one or all of these associated fields can be “pushed” into a table of any ODBC compliant database at the back-end of the process. This back-end database can used by the end users to search and find the documents at a later time using and combination of these “index” fields.

All of the most popular barcode types are read by documentINDEXER+

The Bar Code Reader component is used to “capture” data from a 1D or 2D bar code (depending on the version). A special license is required for this component. Only Tif images, (Group 3 or 4) can be processed with this component. The captured data becomes a variable that can be used throughout the workflow. Bar Code recognition is useful in creating workflows that use the captured data as a key to validate against a front end database. The Bar Code component also includes the capability to automatically “split”documents via the presence of a bar code.

The presence of a bar code, in a designated position, will “trigger” the separation process. Normally, when using this component, a workflow is designed to separate the multipage TIF document into smaller TIF documents directly into a folder. Another workflow designed to process the split documents is running at the same time.
