Document scanners are used in the capture paper of documents or pictures or whatever the data is on paper. documentINDEXER+ is device independent. What we mean by that is documentINDEXER+ operates on the byproduct of a scanner and document capture scanning software session. That byproduct would be the closed or finished scanned image files.
documentINDEXER+ can then work quite well in either a centralized or distributed document capture environment. Centralized would mean that the scanning of the documents are accomplished by high speed scanners at one location. Whereas a distributed capture environment “usually” means that smaller scale scanners distributed throughout various locations are gathering smaller quantities of scanned images but could collectively equal the same size of a centralized production.
