This component requires Microsoft Outlook (not Outlook Express) as a prerequisite. The purpose of Capture from E-mail is to process unread, read (or both) e-mail transactions through user-defined disciplined, systematic and structured procedures. Once an e-mail transaction has been “captured”, using optional sophisticated search techniques, the workflow can be designed to process attachments and e-mail content in a series of user defined steps.
A workflow can be set up to watch a particular Outlook Input Folder. Sub folders can be included. Use a filter to select a desired "From" and "To" and enter search rules for capturing only those specified transactions. A section of the e-mail transaction can be selected to search or select "Anywhere". A date range and case sensitivity can be added to the search criteria. An option can be set to process ONLY e-mail transactions with attachments. Read or Unread e-mails can be added to the search. Specific file types can be selected for the file attachments to process. documentINDEXER+ can process up to 134 different Window file formats. A setting for "all" file types can be selected as well.
Finally a setting can be selected to process the body content of the e-mail as "text" or as "message" (*.msg). E-mails can be "marked" as read when processing is completed within documentINDEXER+.
The user can set the number of seconds between "polls" for documentINDEXER+ to start actively processing the e-mail capture process. The user can also set the number of seconds between processing of the documents.
Capture from Outlook gives a company a easy user-defined method to archive important e-mail content and associated attachments. This process will fulfill many of the new regulations that have been placed into law keeping your company in compliance.
