This site is details two software solutions WSC offers to aid any small business or corporate department to automate the indexing, retrieval of their business documents.

The indexing is accomplished through our product documentINDEXER+. What is an index? It is the information that is associated or tied to a document file that is used to search on to find and retrieve the document file. Much like what you would think of and use whenever you would go to a filing cabinet, open the correct drawer, find the correct folder and then find the correct file.

The indexing is done after scanning is processed. Any scanner and capture software that produces This product contains workflows that are created easily without ANY programming or scripting. All of the workflow processes are merely “drag and drop”.  After the scanned image files are placed in a folder on the PC, the workflow will take the TIF file and process it, index it,  convert the TIF file into a searchable PDF file (if you choose), store the file to whatever folder path desired, and update any database (OBDC compliant) with the new index and file location for future searching to retrieve the file contents. By the way, besides TIF file, documentINDEXER+ will process up to 134 different file types for archiving and retrieval.

Once files are identified, documentINDEXER+ gathers index information from a variety of sources ...

... documentINDEXER+ will “marry” the index information and the location of the processed scanned file (converted to a searchable PDF file if chosen) where UNLIMITED LAN users can access the database index to search and retrieve their documents.

OR UNLIMITED users can use their Internet Browser from the LAN or WEB connection through our WSDM (WorldSoft Document Management) to search the index or full content and retrieve their documents or blog about them with other users, see file access records, view version history for a file, check in or out a file and much more.

The product WorldSoft Document Management LAN or WEB (WSDM) is designed to be used in conjunction WITH our product documentINDEXER+ OR can be used independently (as a stand alone product). WSDM's repository (where your document files are stored) can be automatically built by documentINDEXER+ or the user can upload single files, ten files at a time or a mass upload of all the files in a given folder (that the user creates - if they have the " user rights") or both.

If your need is to use the Repository (where files are stored) for functions such as workflow processing, collaboration, scheduling or task management then WSDM is the product for your office. You may need the ability to “check out” a file so that no one can change it, or you may require folder/file security, or file access reporting, then WSDM is a great product.

A key component of a Repository is the method of retrieval. You may prefer folder navigation. You may want to retrieve files by entering a “key word” (Content Management). Or, you may want to access a database by “indexes” or tags. Or, you may want to use all three retrieval options. Beside using the internal database (MySQL) that comes with WSDM, an external MySQL database can be set up for document retrieval from that source. Using an external database as a source can be useful if the goal is file archive/retrieval only (without any collaboration, task management, access logging, etc) from a LAN or WEB or BOTH.

You may prefer a client/server environment. Or, you may prefer a web based deployment. Or, you may want both. Again WorldSoft Document Management LAN or WEB is the product to choose.

WSDM is an aid to compliance with both the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 (SOX) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPPA). The implementation and use of WSDM does not imply full and complete compliance with either of these laws. However concerning document access control, document/file history audit trail and version control, WSDM does aid in compliance with this part of these laws.
